The Guardian post journalist who was arrested Six months ago was released yesterday August 5th. The news brought joy to the Journalism family even though some journalist arrested for the same reason are still behind bars. Most of these journalists were arrested with little or no evidence against them. According to reports,his liberation was ordered since April 23rd 2017.
Just after his release, Amos Fufong posted on his Facebook account. He says; “ Hi all, after spending close to six months at the Kondegui principal prison without charge, the gates were yesterday open for me without any explanations. I pray all Anglophones detained in relation to the Anglophone crises regain their freedom soonest.”
We hope the others will taste freedom in the days ahead.
