Recently in Douala, the statue of Cameroon’s hero N J Foncha was brought down by the police because Esama didn’t have the authorisation to erect the statue. But an authorisation was given to an artist to put a giant placard of a woman showing her naked bottom which was seen on major streets in Yaoundé yesterday 30th December.
The artist by name Nyangono du Sud saw this as the best way to present his new album « Le trou barbu ».
When the media approached him, he said he wanted to sensitize women on the consequences of wearing strings.
But others think that he is trying to make a name in the music scene. This comes when the ministry if culture is trying to fight against pornographic music.
